Company director, member of the board of directors

Mgr. Adam Janek, MHA, MBA, LL.M. is a graduate of the Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University in Brno. He further completed the MHA (Master of HealthCare Administration) executive program focused on healthcare management at the Advance Healthcare Management Institute in Prague, as well as the MBA (Master of Business Administration) program with a focus on corporate economics and marketing at the University of Economics and Management in Prague. In 2022, he successfully completed the internationally recognized LL.M. program specializing in Healthcare Law at the Faculty of Law of Charles University.

He is a member of the Czech Society for Refractive and Cataract Surgery (ČSRKCH), a member of the Economic Committee of ČSRKCH, a member of the Czech Vitreoretinal Society, a member of the Association of Outpatient Specialists, and a member of the Healthcare and Social Services Section of the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic. He also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of the Association of Outpatient Eye Surgery Providers (SAPOCH), having been one of the initiators of this association's establishment, which currently represents over 90% of the Czech market for outpatient eye surgery providers.

Adam Janek has been working at the Eye Centre Prague since May 2011. Initially, he worked there as a sales representative and was appointed as the company director on April 1, 2012. In 2018, he was elected to the board of the company. From 2016 to 2023, he was also the director and managing director of the Eye Centre Sokolík in Slovakia. Since October 2021, he has been the managing director of the MediPort network of eye clinics and the FertilityPort Prague assisted reproduction center. Since April 2023, he has also been the managing director of PORT7 Pharmacy, which is an integral part of the Eye Centre Prague.

In 2018, he completed a two-week internship at renowned eye clinics in the USA in Florida and also completed a short-term internship at a significant private eye clinic in London. He participates annually in European and American professional ophthalmology congresses focused on healthcare management, healthcare efficiency, and innovations.

He speaks Russian and English. He is interested in healthcare, economics, education, history, and sports. He lives in Prague with his wife Andrea and daughters Amy and Andy. He adheres to the life motto: "Everything is possible if you have the will and the desire to pursue your goal!"
