Radan ZUGAR, MD

Chief Doctor of the Clinic

Radan Zugar, MD graduated from the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague. In January 2011, he joined the Eye Centre Prague as a specialist physician, and in September of the same year, he was appointed as the head physician. He has held the position of head physician at the Eye Centre Prague to this day. Radan Zugar, MD specializes in cataract surgery and performs over 2,500 cataract operations annually.

Andrea JANEKOVÁ, MD, FEBO, FEBOS-CR

Head Physician of the Cataract, Refractive and Vitreoretinal Surgery Centre / Deputy Chief Physician

Andrea Janeková, MD, FEBO, FEBOS-CR, graduated from the 3rd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague. In 2012, she completed a several-month internship at the Eye Department of the University Hospital Arnau de Vilanova in Llerida, Spain. She has attended specialized courses in Chicago (AAO Chicago 2016), Vienna, Lisbon, and Barcelona. In May 2019, she successfully passed the international European examination in ophthalmology in Paris and received the title FEBO (Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology). In 2024, after successfully passing the European specialization exam, she received the prestigious title FEBOS-CR (Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology - Specialist Diploma in Cataract and Refractive Surgery).

Lucie FRANTLOVÁ, MD

Head Physician of the Outpatient Retinal Centre / Head Physician of the Outpatient Services and MediPort Network

Lucie Frantlová, MD graduated from the 3rd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague. She completed an internship at the Ophthalmology Clinic of the FNKV in Prague and additional specialized internships at the Příbram Regional Hospital and Na Bulovce Hospital in Prague. Since February 2017, she has been working as a specialist ophthalmologist at the Eye Centre Prague.

Doc. Jiří Pašta, MD, CSc., FEBO, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Hradec Králové and has been working at the Eye Clinic of the University Hospital of the Czech Republic (ÚVN Prague) since 1980. For many years, he served as the head of the Eye Clinic of the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and ÚVN Prague. Since January 1, 2013, he has been the professional guarantor of the Eye Centre Prague, a.s.

Michal JANEK, MD

Emeritus Chief Physician, cataract surgeon.

Michal Janek, MD is a prominent figure in the field of Czech cataract surgery. With nearly 30,000 cataract surgeries performed, he ranks among the leading surgeons in the Czech Republic. He was one of the first to start removing cataracts using ultrasonic phacoemulsification and was a proponent of the outpatient method for this surgery.

Milan VOJTA, MD

Milan Vojta, MD graduated from Charles University - Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové, specializing in General Medicine. During his studies, he completed volunteer practice at the Pardubice Region Hospital, a.s. in Chrudim. He has been working as a specialist physician at the Eye Centre Prague since April 2021.

Adriana BALESTRERI, MD

Specialist ophthalmologist

Adriana Balestreri, MD graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Plzeň. In 2012, she successfully passed the certification exam in the field of Ophthalmology (Hanover, Germany). She completed two international professional internships. She has been working as a specialist ophthalmologist at the Eye Centre Prague since August 2022.

Ondřej Bareš, MD graduated from the 3rd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague, specializing in General Medicine. He has been working as a specialist ophthalmologist at the Eye Centre Prague since September 2022

Denisa MADĚRKOVÁ, MD

Denisa Maděrková, MD graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Palacký University in Olomouc, specializing in general medicine. She has been working at Eye Centre Prague as a specialist ophthalmologist since October 2024.

Jana HAASOVÁ, MD

Specialist ophthalmologist

Jana Haasová, MD graduated from the 3rd Faculty of Medicine at Charles University in Prague, specializing in general medicine. During her studies, she completed an internship at the Universitätsklinikum Bonn (Germany).At Eye Centre Prague, she has been serving as a specialist ophthalmologist since January 2025.

Vladimir KRAVCHENKO, MD

Vladimir Kravchenko, MD graduated from the 1st Faculty of Medicine at Charles University in Prague, specializing in General Medicine. During his studies, he also completed a voluntary internship at the ophthalmology department of a hospital in Chemnitz, Germany. He has been working as a specialist ophthalmologist at Eye Centre Prague since March 2025.

Zuzana HANIGOVSKÁ, MD

Zuzana Hanigovská, MD graduated in General Medicine from the First Faculty of Medicine at Charles University in Prague. In 2024, she completed the ESASO Special Programme: Cataract & Cornea, focused on cataract surgery and corneal diseases. She has been part of Eye Centre Prague since April 2025, working as an ophthalmologist.

Olívia REVÁKOVÁ, MD

Specialist ophthalmologist

Olívia Reváková, MD graduated in General Medicine from the University of Ostrava. During her studies, she took part in the Erasmus programme at Coimbra University Hospital in Portugal. In 2024, she successfully completed the basic ophthalmology training programme and passed the final examination. She has been working as an ophthalmologist at Eye Centre Prague since May 2025.

Barbora KARASOVÁ, MD

Barbora Karasová, MD graduated from the Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague, with a degree in General Medicine. In 2022 she completed an international internship in Ljubljana, followed by a further internship in Singapore in 2023. She has been working as an ophthalmologist at Eye Centre Prague since September 2025.

Aneta TĚŠINOVÁ, MD

Aneta Těšinová, MD graduated from the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague, with a degree in General Medicine. During her studies, she completed a specialist internship at the Department of Ophthalmology at the Central Military Hospital in Prague. She has been working as an ophthalmologist at Eye Centre Prague since September 2025.

Ema Kristianová, MD graduated from the Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague, with a degree in General Medicine. In 2024 she completed an international internship in Slovenia, followed by a further internship in 2025 in Tunisia. She has been working as an ophthalmologist at Eye Centre Prague since September 2025.
