Educational and lecturing activities

We regularly participate in congresses and annual meetings of professional associations held both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The aim of attending these events is to gain new experiences and global innovations in ophthalmology, as well as to familiarize ourselves with new technologies and trends, ensuring that we always provide our patients with the most modern care at a world-class level.

Our specialist doctors participate in various lectures, engage in professional discussions, and also actively present, sharing our experiences with colleagues and ophthalmologists from around the world.

Our achievements

• Andrea Janeková, MD, FEBO, became the first female ophthalmologist from the Czech Republic to receive the prestigious title FEBOS-CR (2024)
• The first female doctors accepted into our graduate program and OCP Academy for training young doctors successfully passed their certification (2024).
• Michal Janek, MD, received honorary membership in the Czech Society of Refractive and Cataract Surgery for his contributions to ophthalmology (2024).
• Lucie Frantlová, MD, won the Chairman's Award in the Grant Competition of the Czech Society of Refractive and Cataract Surgery (2024).
• The Director of OCP was elected to the board of the SAPOCH association (2023).
• Andrea Janeková, MD, FEBO, was elected to the board of the Czech Society of Refractive and Cataract Surgery (2023).
• Chief Doctor Zugar has performed 20,000 cataract surgeries (2023).
• Eye Centre Prague received the highest level of accreditation from the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic (2022).
• Michal Janek, MD, received an award for his lifetime contributions to ophthalmology (2022).

Educational activities

At Eye Centre Prague, we are dedicated to the continuous education of young doctors, for whom we have created graduate programs and our own academy.

Other educational activities:

• Andrea Janeková, MD, served as a lecturer at the 12th Balkan Eye Wet Lab Course (2024).
• Cataract School for Nurses (2024).
• Andrea Janeková, MD, FEBO, was a lecturer at the International Eye Course (2023).
• OCP surgeons acted as expert lecturers at the Cataract Refractive School (2022).
