Ivan RUMENOV YAKIMOV, MD
Specialist ophthalmologist

Ivan Rumenov Yakimov, MD graduated from the Medical University in Plovdiv, specializing in General Medicine. During his studies, he completed student internships in Plovdiv and several specialized international internships: an IFMSA research internship in Indonesia, an IFMSA clinical internship in Lebanon, Poland, and the Czech Republic.

In the field of ophthalmology, he completed a specialized internship at the Ophthalmology Clinic of FNKV in Prague and at the Ophthalmology Clinic of the Public Clinical Hospital in Plovdiv.

As part of his voluntary work, he served as the Coordinator for Research Internships (AMSB/IFMSA) and continues to be an active member of the Medical Students Association in Plovdiv.

After completing his studies, he moved to the Czech Republic, where he has since worked as a medical assistant in healthcare facilities.

Ivan Rumenov Yakimov, MD has been working as a specialist physician at the Eye Centre Prague since July 2023.

Dr. Yakimov is fluent in Bulgarian, English, and Czech.

He is a member of the Bulgarian Medical Chamber and the Medical Students Association in Plovdiv.
