Specialist ophthalmologist

Adriana Balestreri, MD graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Plzeň. In 2012, she successfully passed the certification exam in the field of Ophthalmology (Hanover, Germany). She completed international professional internships at:

• University Eye Hospital Bonn, Germany (Department of Retinal Surgery)
• Uniklinik Köln, Center for Ophthalmology, Department of Retina and Vitreous Surgery

After completing her studies, she worked at the Regional Health Hospital in Teplice as a secondary physician in the Eye Department. She then spent 10 years at eye clinics in Germany:

• Augenärzte am Meer, Wilhelmshaven, Germany as a specialist ophthalmologist
• Augenärzte – Gemeinschaftspraxis Dres. med. Kortüm, Ludwigsburg, Germany as a specialist ophthalmologist in private practice
• Smile Eyes :) Alte Börse München, Germany as a specialist ophthalmologist, and since September 2017, as the head physician at the medical facility MVZ Augenärzte :)

Adriana Balestreri, MD has been working as a specialist ophthalmologist at the Eye Centre Prague since August 2022.

She focuses on general comprehensive eye care.

She is fluent in English, German, and Italian.

In her free time, Dr. Balestreri enjoys traveling and studying foreign languages, as well as hiking, cycling, botany, and music (she plays the accordion and guitar).
