Blanka Landová
After cataract surgery

"I can only recommend it. I felt important — like someone truly cared about my health and wanted to help me."
Mrs Blanka Landová, a friend of the mother of our surgical nurse Jana, came to us for cataract surgery full of fear. She herself says she was probably “the worst patient” – anxious, nervous, and full of worries. But in the end, she managed everything – thanks to the mental support from our surgical team and the calm, reassuring approach of Janeková, MD during the procedure.
The moment the surgery was over and she noticed a significant improvement in her vision, she felt such relief that as soon as she got home, she joyfully started baking treats. A sweet way of saying thank you for her new view of the world – and above all, for the kindness and humanity she felt during her time with us. A special thank-you from Mrs Landová also goes to Adriana Balestreri, MD who cared for her both before and after the procedure and was a great source of support.
She also shared a heartfelt review on our Facebook page:
“I can only recommend it. I’m a hysterical patient, and I was very afraid of the surgery. Never before in a hospital had it happened that a doctor herself came to the waiting room to collect me and led me to the office with a smile. In that moment, I felt important – that someone truly cared about my health and wanted to help me. No smirks, no remarks – unlike what I’ve experienced elsewhere, where I sometimes feel like I’m just bothering the doctor, especially because of my age. I was deeply moved by the helpfulness, the smiles from the staff, and the kind treatment I received. Once again, thank you to Dr Janeková and nurse Veverková, who guided me on the path to better vision. Thank you, thank you – you’re truly amazing. I’ll never forget you and I tell everyone how wonderful you are.”
