Phakic Intraocular Lens (ICL)

Ms. Tereza Štruplová approached us to eliminate her need for glasses and contact lenses, which she wore due to myopia. Due to her high diopters, laser surgery was not possible. However, our doctors found an alternative solution, and she underwent implantation of phakic intraocular lenses (ICL) at our clinic.

A phakic lens is a thin implantable contact lens (ICL) that fully replaces the need for glasses and standard contact lenses.

Both surgeries were performed by Andrea Janeková, MD, FEBO, Chief Doctor of the cataract and refractive surgery centre and Deputy Chief. Dr. Janeková also conducted the one-week post-operative check-up, during which everything was in order. Ms. Tereza is very grateful to Dr. Janeková for the surgeries and her new vision, which she is thoroughly enjoying.
