In December 2018, Ms. Zdeňka Zugarová, the mother of our Chief Physician Dr. Zugar, underwent cataract surgery on both eyes.

Two years earlier, Dr. Zugar’s father had undergone the same surgery, and both parents have joined the family and friends of our staff who have placed their utmost trust in us and entrusted themselves to our care.

Ms. Zugarová shared that she was a bit nervous about the surgery, but was comforted by the assurance that her son, with over 10,000 successful cataract surgeries, would be performing the procedure. She felt at ease in the operating room and greatly appreciated the approach of everyone who cared for her before and after the surgery.

Dr. Zugar recommended Zeiss Trifocal intraocular lenses for his mother, allowing her to see clearly at all distances without glasses after the surgery. She entered the new year of 2019 with "new eyes," giving her a view of the world as if she were young again.
