The director of Eye Centre Prague has been elected to the board of the SAPOCH association.

At the end of the year, the Association of Outpatient Providers of Eye Surgery, z.s. (SAPOCH) elected a new board, and the position of vice-chairman of the board was defended by the director of Eye Centre Prague, Adam Janek.

The new board of SAPOCH was elected for another four-year term. Other original members also defended their positions on the board: the chairman, PharmDr. Michal Krejsta, MBA, LL.M., and board member Ing. Michaela Studená, MHA.

“It is an honor for me to be part of the leadership of this organization, which is advancing Czech ophthalmology. We will not relent in achieving our common goals and will continue to act in the interest of increasing reimbursements, accessibility, and the professional and ethical cultivation of this field,” stated Adam Janek regarding his participation in SAPOCH and the re-election to the position of vice-chairman of the board.

Association of outpatient providers of eye surgery (SAPOCH)

The Association of Outpatient Providers of Eye Surgery was established in 2019 to promote the field.

The main mission of the association is to bring together providers of eye surgery to create suitable conditions for the practice of their profession and to advocate for their professional interests. This includes participation in the preparation and development of diagnostic and treatment standards for primary care, as well as representing members of the association in relation to public administration authorities and institutions both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The association further defends the interests of its members and represents them in negotiations with health insurance companies and the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, and also involves cooperation with the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic, and other administrative bodies.

Eye Centre Prague, a.s. was one of the founders of this association.
