Our doctor, Aneta Novotná, MD, also underwent laser surgery

In Eye Centre Prague, we believe in what we do, which is why our own doctors also undergo surgeries here. The latest among them is Dr. Aneta Novotná, who had laser vision correction using the ReLex SMILE method.

Before the surgery, Dr. Novotná had -4.0 and -3.5 diopters and -1.0 cylinder in each eye. Since glasses restricted her, especially during sports, she preferred contact lenses. However, she then experienced issues with dry eyes and could no longer tolerate lenses.

Inspiration for her came from patients and their enthusiasm after surgery.

'I had been considering laser vision correction since high school, but I was afraid. It was only when I started conducting consultations before laser surgeries and follow-up checks after the operations, and saw the enthusiasm and satisfaction of my patients, that I decided to undergo the ReLex SMILE laser method myself,' says Dr. Aneta Novotná.

The surgery went smoothly.

During the operation, Dr. Novotná felt comfortable.

And how is she enjoying her new vision without glasses and contact lenses?

"I'm now a month post-surgery, and I am thrilled. My vision has beautifully sharpened, and I no longer need glasses for distance or near vision."
