At the Eye Centre Prague, we perform eyelid plastic surgery (blepharoplasty) to help restore a fresh look to your eyes and make you appear more youthful.

The skin around the eyelids is the thinnest on the body and is subjected to constant blinking and eye movement, which contributes to the first visible signs of skin aging. Over time, this leads to a loss of skin elasticity, resulting in excess skin and fat on the eyelids that negatively impacts both appearance and the quality of vision, as well as causing greater fatigue and discomfort in the eyes.

Aesthetic eyelid surgery is suitable for both women and men. Eyelid surgery removes excess and sagging skin around the eyelids and also addresses subcutaneous fat bags, yellowish margins, and the positioning and shape of the eyelids. After the surgery, the skin around the eyes is tightened, revealing the eyes. This results in a significantly more youthful appearance while improving vision and expanding the visual field of eyelids that have drooped due to aging and loss of elasticity.

Eyelid plastic surgery is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia. The procedure takes about 90 minutes. After the surgery, vision is not affected, and cosmetics can typically be used again after approximately two weeks.
