Barbora KARASOVÁ, MD
Specialist ophthalmologist

Barbora Karasová, MD graduated from the Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague, with a degree in General Medicine. In 2022 she completed an international internship in Ljubljana (Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana), followed by a further internship in Singapore in 2023 at the Singapore National Eye Centre.

During her medical studies, she worked as a receptionist at a private outpatient clinic and later at Channel Lab – Aireen, where she was involved in research and development of artificial intelligence for diagnostic purposes. She is a member of the board of the Young Doctors Association (Mladí lékaři) and actively contributes to its activities.

She has been working as an ophthalmologist at Eye Centre Prague since September 2025.

She provides comprehensive eye care and is also involved in preoperative assessments and postoperative follow-up for cataract surgery patients. In addition, she works within our network of ophthalmology outpatient clinics, MediPort.

In her free time, Dr Karasová enjoys endurance running (half marathons), reading, painting, and playing the guitar and piano.
