When We Look with the Heart: We Supported the

The 11th edition of the exceptional nationwide project "Heart Gifted with Love" culminated in a festive award ceremony at the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic – and Eye Centre Prague was there.

This year, our doctor Andrea Janeková served as a judge in this unique competition and personally participated in the award ceremony for the winning children’s teams from across the country.

The festive ceremony took place on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, in the historic meeting hall of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic, under the patronage of Speaker Markéta Pekarová Adamová and with the participation of representatives from other institutions and partners. The project, organized by the ANTECOM publishing house in cooperation with the AGE magazine, has long supported interpersonal relationships, empathy, and creativity in children across the Czech Republic.

“It is almost unbelievable how much joy, understanding, and love 'Heart Gifted with Love' has brought during its existence. I believe that supporting children's creativity is crucial – just as much as the opportunity to understand intergenerational relationships,” said Dr. Janeková, who brings both a professional perspective and personal experience as a mother to the jury.

This year, over 150 children’s groups participated in the competition – from kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, children’s homes, clubs, and associations. Together, they created symbolic "hearts gifted with love" – artistic, literary, or combined projects with one goal: to spread joy and strengthen relationships between generations, at school and in the wider community.

During the festive afternoon, the children literally lit up the hall with their creativity, sincerity, and heartfelt energy. The jury awarded a total of 18 teams, but the true winners were everyone who put a piece of their heart into the competition. There were expressions of gratitude, touching stories, and spontaneous joy from the children, filling the space with an atmosphere of humanity and hope.

With pride and humility, we thank you for allowing us to be part of the HEART FAMILY! We believe that such projects are of extraordinary importance in today’s world – not only for children but also for adults, who rediscover real values through them.
